The size of the Barbet breed is variable, as the breed standard for height states; Dogs 58-65cms (22¾-25½ ins); Bitches 53-61cms (20¾-24 ins). With a tolerance of +/- 1cm.

 

In breeds that have a minimum and maximum height, different lines (ancestry) will have different average sizes, ranging from being nearer the minimum height, right through to nearer the maximum height.

There is a good spread of heights across the Barbet population.
